Traditions
The Army Service personnel will feel as the legitimate heirs of the vast and glorious Spanish Military Tradition. It is their duty to owe gratitude and pay homage to the heroes who built it up and gave their life for the Mother country. These all provide an important stimulus and set an example for others to follow the track of their historical legacy.
The Commanders are the custodians of the way of being of the Army. As such, they will feel obliged to preserve and transmit the history, traditions and symbols of their unit to perpetuate their memory for future generations.
The most outstanding and representative traditions of the Academia General Militar include the following:
- The Flag of the Academia.
- The Cadet Decalogue.
- The cadet’s Aiguillettes.
- The gun staircase assault.
- The Fallen Monolith.
- Illustrious Cadets: HM The King and the Emeritus King.
- The Honorary Cadet figure.
