The King and Queen preside over the main Armed Forces Day 2026 ceremony

More than 3,700 personnel from the Spanish Army, the Navy, the Air and Space Force, the Military Emergencies Unit, the Royal Guard, and the Civil Guard took part in the main Armed Forces Day (DIFAS) 2026 ceremony, held on May 30 in Vigo and presided over by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain and the Princess of Asturias.

The Spanish and Portuguese armies strengthen interoperability

Spanish units deploy to Slovakia and Hungary for operation 'Strong Lineage 26'

A total of 1,600 Spanish troops and more than 300 vehicles have deployed to Slovakia and Hungary to participate in NATO’s "Strong Lineage 26" operation, which will validate the expansion of the Multinational Battle Group Slovakia to brigade level, led by Spain since July 2024.

Dos soldados del Batallón ‘Princesa’ socorren a varias personas en un accidente de tráfico.

El pasado viernes, 26 de junio de 2026, los soldados Rubén Vargas y Cristóbal Tirado, pertenecientes al Regimiento de Infantería ‘La Reina’ 2, circulaban por la vía A-45, entre las localidades de El Saucejo y Osuna, en provincia de Sevilla, cuando se encontraron, a la altura del kilómetro 16, el escenario de un accidente de tráfico en el que se vieron implicados dos vehículos con las víctimas atrapadas e inmovilizadas en el interior de sus vehículos.
