Opening hours

10:00 - 17:00 h. MUSEUM ENTRANCE IS OPEN UP TO 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE OFFICAL CLOSING TIME

Ticket office closing time: 1 hour before the Museum closes. The rooms are vacated 30 minutes before closing.

The Museum is closed on MONDAY,  (including public holidays).

It is also closed: 1 and 6 January, 1 May, 24, 25 and 31 December and any day it is deemed necessary for special circumstances or relevant events. The public will be given due notice.

  • Groups representing cultural or educational institutions comprising more 15 or more persons.

Free admission (identification must be shown)

This ticket is available to anyone in any of the following categories:

  • Members of the Spanish Armed Forces.
  • Members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM).
  • Members of the Spanish Federation of Friends of Museums (FEAM - Federación Española de Amigos de los Museos).
  • Members of the Spanish Association of Museologists (AEM - Asociación Española de Museólogos).
  • Members of the Spanish Professional Association of Museologists (APME - Asociación Profesional de Museólogos de España ).
  • Members of the Spanish National Association of Archivists, Librarians and Museologists (ANABAD - Asociación Nacional de Archiveros Bibliotecarios y Museólogos).
  • Collaborators of the Spanish Army Museum.
  • Donors of objects of cultural interest to the Spanish Army Museum.
  • Disabled persons, and one companion provided that the disabled person is unable to visit the Museum unaccompanied.
  • Teachers in a cultural and educational capacity.
  • Official tour guides in their professional capacity.
  • EU citizens over the age of 65.
  • Youth card holders
  • Persons under 18 years of age.

Free admission days

  • Every Sunday of the year from 10.00 am to 17.00 pm.
  • 29 March (the day the Spanish Army Museum was founded), 18 April (World Heritage Day), 18 May (International Museum Day), 12 October (Spanish National Holiday) and 6 December (Constitution Day).
  • Commemorative dates that are to be determined, such as Armed Forces Day.
