Parades and Ceremonies
Presentation to the Virgin of El Pilar
It is a tradition that all incoming cadets, after the Sabre Ceremony, and prior to the Pledge of Allegiance, travel to Zaragoza to make their presentation to the Virgen del Pilar, parading to invoke her protection.

This day, the Virgin of el Pilar, patron of Hispanidad, of the very noble and heroic city of Saragossa, of all Aragonese and of the Civil Guard Corps, expects the visit that she is going to receive wearing the mantle that the Academia General Militar had previously donated.

It is also traditional that a representation of cadets participate on October 12 in the Offering of Flowers, central event of the festivities in honor of Our Lady of El Pilar.
