The Ceremony of Awarding the Degrees in Management Engineering

This ceremony is organised by the Centro Universitario de la Defensa (CUD) and takes place in the lecture hall of the Academia General Militar. This event is normally carried out the afternoon before the Passing Out Ceremony so as to facilitate the relatives’ attendance.

During the event, fifth-year second lieutenants, who belong to the syllabus which qualifies them to be Army Officers in the Escala de Oficiales del Cuerpo General del Ejército de Tierra without a previous degree, receive their diplomas which prove they have met the requirements related to the Degree in Management Engineering.

The sequence of acts is as follows:

• Greeting by the AGM Commandant.
• Closing lecture.
• End-of-degree Awards Ceremony.
• The handing-over of the degree diplomas.
• Director’s speech.
• Closing ceremony.
• The singing of "Gaudeamus Igitur", university anthem par excellence.
