VERTICAL RACE

One of the sports trials which take place annually at the Alcazar of Toledo is the vertical race called “Up and Down the Alcazar’s Fortified Towers”. Numerous organisms and institutions are involved in this event. It covers an approximate distance of 920 meters, including 185 steps up and 215 steps down.

 The race starts and ends at the northern level area, in front of the Covarrubias Façade.

 Within similar races, this is the only one which goes through a Library and a Museum.
