Introduction

The Sanitary Logistic Support Unit (UALSAN) is a sanitary logistics unit organized as a Central Logistics Organ (OLC) with the functions of a Pharmaceutical Wholesale Warehouse, attached to the Headquarters of Logistics Centers of the Army Logistics Support Command.

Equipped with the necessary human and material resources to fulfill its various missions, it carries out the distribution of all pharmaceutical products (medicines and vaccines (both for human and veterinary use), medical supplies, and other health-related material resources that are distributed through pharmaceutical logistics channels) necessary for healthcare in the designated operating environment, as well as the management of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th echelon maintenance for all those health resources that may require it.

Our most significant support mission is undoubtedly represented by the management of the distribution of pharmaceutical products, part of the supply chain of these health resources that includes pharmaceutical activities related to selection, acquisition, storage, custody, preservation, transportation, and supply of these products, excluding dispensing.

Additionally, it is responsible for the maintenance of all health resources that require it, ensuring their operability to guarantee healthcare not only in the national territory but also in those military operations carried out abroad.
