Visit of the Commander of NATO Allied Command for Operations on the occasion of our certificacion as the 1st NATO Joint Task Force Headquartes.
The four stars General Philip M. Breedlove (USA), Supreme Allied Commander in Europe (SACEUR), attended the 3rd of July the military parade which was held in the barracks of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Headquarters Spain (HQ NRDC-ESP) in the Jaime I Base in Bétera to make official the starting of the HQ NRDC-ESP stand-by period as the first Joint Task Force Headquarters in the NATO Force Structure (JTF HQ).
The stand-by period started past July the 1st 2014 and it will conclude next June the 30th 2015. During that time, HQ NRDC-ESP will be ready for activation and deployment at NATO request. HQ NRDC-ESP certification as the first JTF HQ is a symbol of Spain commitment with the Collective Defense principle and the promotion of peace and democratic values worldwide
