Number:
JLSG evaluation and certification process.
The Joint Logistic Support Group (JLSG) successfully carried out the phase IIIA of their evaluation and certification process. 86 people from 8 different countries participated in the phase that took place in HQ NRDC- ESP barracks from the 07th to the 10th of April.
In accordance with BI-SC Conceptual Framework for Allied Operations (CFAO dated June2013), “The nations providing the NFS JTF HQs are also required to provide the Logistic C2 which will consist of two complementary entities: the NFS JTF HQ functional staff (Log, Med, Eng, etc); and a JLSG HQ”.
NRDC-ESP developed the implementation of the JLSG HQ based on its former Rear Support Command (RSC) which deals with the Reception, Staging and Onward Movement (RSOM) process in our HQ. The RSOM process is also one of the main pillars of the JLSG. Acquiring all JLSG capabilities has been a real challenge for the RSC branch, not easy to achieve with their own personnel.
The solution to solve this inconvenience was to implement an augmentation process by committing the Spanish Logistic Brigade (BRILOG) as a main provider for this augmentation process to make sure that logistics SMEs and capabilities were properly filled, being the BRILOG Commander, General Jose Luis Sanchez Alor, the JLSG HQ Commander.
