Betera Town Hall and NATO Rapid Deplyable Corps – Spain (NRDC-ESP) sign an agreement to promote NATO culture
Bétera, Valencia (Spain)
German Cotanda Gil, Bétera Mayor, and Lieutenant General Rafael Comas Abad, NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Commander (COM NRDC-ESP), signed today an agreement to promote NATO culture.
The aim of the agreement is to improve the relations with our local community and to promote a better knowledge of the work carried out by NRDC-ESP as a NATO organization.
NRDC-ESP, in collaboration with the local authorities, will start a series of acts and conferences to be addressed in local primary, secondary and high schools as well as other local associations. These briefs will deal with NATO as a political and military organization that promotes democratic values and encourages consultation and cooperation on security issues around the world. They will also deal with the Spanish commitment on NATO´s values and principles. Visits to NRDC-ESP facilities in Jaime I Military Base will be also offered.
