The troops deployedin Lebanon visited by South Litani military region commander

The joint tasks that the 26^thSpanish contingent (the majority from the 10^th“Guzmán el Bueno” Brigade) is carrying out in Lebanon, along with the Lebanese Armed Forces, have been the main topic of the visit that the South Litani military region commander, General Khalil Al Gemayel, made to the “Miguel de Cervantes” base in Marjayoun on Feb. 1^st.

In his visit to the United Nations interim Force in Lebanon HQ (UNIFIL), the general was escorted by the 7^thLebanese Army Brigade commander, General George Namour, who is responsible of the area in which the Spanish contingent is deployed. Both Generals were welcomed by the FINUL East Brigade, General Lázaro Sáenz.

Besides focusing on the joint tasks, there was a discussion on capabilities, means, and missions carried out by Spanish troops. They also visited different facilities of the base and attended a material and equipment exhibit.
