New field artillery simulator

Aizcarel is the new simulator which has been introduced to the Field Artillery Groups of the Ground Forces during a series of information transfer workshops organized by the 4th Coast Artillery Regiment (RACTA) and held at the “Camposoto” cantonment from 26 to 28 May.

All participating units were handed the necessary software and its members practised the installation, administration and operation of the system.

This virtual tool, the result of a collaboration between personnel of the 1st Coast Artillery Group of the 4th RACTA and Reserve Artillery Colonel Carlos Azcárraga, will assist in the training of the units in field target practice both in the simulator and in live fire exercises.

The simulator allows the individual training of Forward Observers and Fire Direction Centre operators, as well as the tactical and technical training of artillery companies and battalions.
