The Royal Thai Army Staff commander of operations, Lieutenant General Aksra Kerdphol, on 16th July visited, along with a delegation from his country, the 71st Anti-aircraft Artillery Regiment, situated on Base ‘Capitán Guiloche’ in Madrid. There he was received by the commander of the Anti-aircraft Artillery Command, General Juan Vicente Cuesta.

The visit took place at the request of the Thai officer, who had shown interest in a tour of an Artillery unit situated in the vicinity of the capital that fielded the Anti-aircraft Artillery Semiautomatic Operations Centre.

The Anti-aircraft Artillery Semiautomatic Operations Centre is an Artillery command and control centre that may be integrated into the Air Defence System, which permits unifying the entire range of Anti-aircraft Artillery weapons equipping the Spanish Army.
