The nearly 400 participants received lectures on the procedures, organization and capabilities of the Headquarters, and the situation and characteristics of the theatre of operations; then they carried out a specific training phase by functional area, and lastly, they rehearsed the simultaneous operation of the International Security Assistance Force Headquarters and the Joint Command.

To this end, they had the collaboration of almost 300 instructors and experts from the Joint Warfare Centre itself and from personnel deployed at present or recently to these posts, who collaborated in their training. This effort was essential to enable conveying to the participants a real and up-to-date idea of how work is carried out at both Headquarters.
