Four lecture cycle at the Institute of Military Culture and History
Some of the main actors involved in the Bosnia-Herzegovina mission will participate, from 3rd to 26th May, in a lecture cycle organised by the Institute of Military Culture and History.
Former minister of Defence Mr. Julián García Vargas will explain how the mission was managed, while the man who was the commander of the first Spanish force in that country, General Zorzo Ferrer, will offer a presentation on the first steps that were taken upon arrival in the area of operations.
In turn, the Deputy Chief of the Army Staff, Lieutenant General Martín Villalaín, will speak on the closing of operation “Althea" and the conclusion of Spanish Army presence in the Balkans.
Closing the cycle will be the Bosnian-Herzegovinian ambassador to Spain, Ms. Zeljana Zovko. All lectures will be at eight o’clock in the evening in the Military Culture and History Institute auditorium (3 Paseo Moret Avenue), in Madrid.
Entrance will be free of charge until seating capacity is filled.
Opening the cycle on 3rd May will be the director of the Military Culture and History Institute, General Ramos Oliver.
