Headquarters in Aragón "Seals" its 300 Year History
Monday, April 4, 2011
Number: 858

Philately enthusiasts can incorporate a new acquisition into their collections: the commemorative stamp of the 3rd centenary of the creation of the Headquarters in Aragón.
The stamp, which was presented on 3rd April, reproduces the central coat of arms on the facade of the palace that is home to the Headquarters. The official postmark was the work of personnel from the main post office in Zaragoza, who attended the event along with representatives of the Aragonese philatelic association. The ceremony was presided over by the chief of the Institutional Support to the Military Command in Zaragoza and Teruel Organisation —in charge of its design—, Colonel Alba.
The celebration also included an open day at Headquarters Palace, which over 500 people visited. Many of them took advantage of the occasion to postmark their new stamps right there at the palace.
