It will provide logistic support to all Army units
On 21st January next, in Zaragoza, the Logistics Brigade will be formally constituted, the Unit which is in charge of providing logistic support to all Army units regarding Supply, Maintenance and Transport, both in operations abroad and in Spain. The Chief of the Army Staff, Army General Fulgencio Coll, will preside over the ceremony—to take place on Base “San Fernando”— which various civilian and military authorities in Aragón are invited to attend. The creation of the Logistics Brigade in the result of an internal reorganisation process that is being undertaken in the Army. It will have over 5,000 forces distributed among its Headquarters and the 11th Logistic Support Group in Colmenar Viejo (Madrid); the 21st Logistic Support Group in Seville; the 41st Logistic Support Group in Zaragoza; the 61st Logistic Support Group in Valladolid, and the 81st Logistic Support Group in San Cristóbal de la Laguna (Tenerife).
