Awarding of diplomas of the Combat Casualties Treatment Course to 30 Ukrainian soldiers

A total of 30 Ukrainian soldiers received the diplomas of the 3rd Course on the Treatment of Casualties in Combat, in an event chaired by the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, and which took place on May 29, in the Assembly Hall of the Toledo Infantry Academy, where this course was taught, within the framework of the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Support of Ukraine (EUMAN UA).

In addition, in the same ceremony, the 14 Spanish soldiers involved in the training of Ukrainian combatants received a distinction of honor from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense for the assistance to the Army of their country, and that was given to them by the military attaché of Ukraine in Spain, colonel Serhii Vtorykh, who awarded these distinctions to Spanish personnel "on behalf of all Ukrainians."

The European Union Military Assistance Mission in Support of Ukraine is under the operational control of the Operations Command. In support of the training of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Toledo Training Coordination Center has been established, which aims to achieve rotation training for approximately 400 Ukrainian soldiers every two months.

In her speech, Margarita Robles affirmed that the Ukrainian soldiers "are giving us a lesson of generosity and heroism," and she recalled that "the cause of Ukraine is also ours, because it is the just cause of peace, freedom, values and democracy," to which she added that "Spain is and will be firmly committed to supporting Ukraine together with our NATO and EU allies and we will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine as long as is necessary until they win this terrible war."
