Military personnel from the Special Operations Group "Valencia" III were on their way back on May 19, when they witnessed a traffic accident following the completion of the 2023 GOE Mobility exercise, between the Chinchilla Training Center (Albacete) and the "Alférez Rojas Navarrete" barracks (Alicante).

Specifically, at km 230 of the A-31, near Alicante, the military convoy, composed of VAMTAC vehicles, witnesses a traffic accident between two cars, among which is one that after three rounds of the bell is outside the firm and emitting smoke.

Immediately, the soldiers go to the vehicle in which they find the driver in a state of apparent commotion, helping get out the victim and taking him to one of the VAMTACs, where they offer him water and make a first assessment of his state of consciousness.

While the rest of the team pointed out the accident and called 112 to inform and request the support of the Civil Guard and the health services, their paramedical staff proceeded to the cervical control with collar, as a preventive, and to a more detailed examination of the constants and identifying a trauma with small laceration.

Once the Civil Guard and the health services arrived, the military told them the details of what had happened and the condition of the victim, taking charge of him.
