Military personnel from the 6th Brigades and Logistics participate

The 2nd “Roger de Lauria” Battalion of Paratroopers has begun carrying out strategic protection in advance of the multinational “Iron Wolf” exercise, which will take place in Lithuania November 1st through the 20th.

The Tactical Group of the 6th Paratrooper Brigade “Almogávares” will participate along with the rest of the members of the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) integrated in the 21st “Podhale Rifelman” Brigade, based in Rzeszow (Poland).

For this exercise, they must first complete the exercise “Brilliant Jump,” under the direction of Joint Force Command Brunssum. The Spanish Tactical Group participation is limited, with a contribution of 40 vehicles and 126 enlisted and 203 military personnel out of the 558 VJTF-20 participants. In addition, about 50 personnel from the Logistics Brigade will be included in the support unit.

Preparation has involved a significant effort for all personnel, beyond the instruction and training for VJTF or the formation of the tactical group. In fact, between October 19th and the 21st, the unit was involved in loading materials in various containers, as well as preparing the means of transport that will be used in the exercise.

On October 22, the motorized movement of all the transport began with four units that headed toward the port of Santander, to prepare for loading the transport ship the following day.
