Empty Reserved Artillery Area. RACA 11.

The Regiment’s Campaign Artillery Battalions, with the objective of achieving better protection and survival and a greater adaptability and flexibility of response under fire, use the empty Artillery Reserved Area procedures. This consists in a layout of waiting areas in which the units are hidden and protected and occupy various important settlements, prepared in advance. The Batteries quickly take their position in these settlements, carry out their fire actions and abandon their positions in a short space of time, thereby avoiding exposing the unit to counter-battery and increasing their chance of survival.
