SPABRI X
Commander: General José Sierra Tabuenca.
Core troops were drawn from the Paratroops Brigade and included a Battalion Task Force from the Marine Infantry.
Present in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 16th April to 7th August 1999, it maintained the same forces as the previous Brigade.
Its most outstanding activities centred on control of the Montenegro border in order to prevent arms and fuel smuggling during the NATO air campaign against Yugoslavia.
A Sapper Unit of the Brigade also achieved the deactivation of a large mine composed of more than 500 Kg of explosives that had stopped all traffic on the Trebinje-Dubrovnik highway since the outbreak of the Bosnian conflict.
