The Institute of Military History and Culture -paseo de Moret, nº 3. Madrid– has organized the 22nd edition of its Vexillology Course (flags and standards), which will be held between March 6th and 23rd, at its headquarters.

The aim of this course is making the participants learn, throughout the sessions, to identify in a general and practical manner, the different military flags and standards of the Armies of Spain since ancient times and, especially, from the Modern Age to the present day. For this purpose, the different periods and typologies that contributed to the formation of our current National Flag will be analyzed. All this means a very special, colorful, curious and sometimes anecdotal vision of our history, through its vexillological aspects, complemented in turn by the heraldic science.

The course will be taught by speakers specialized in the matter and it will be possible to attend it both in person and online, from Monday to Thursday between 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.

In case of choosing the in person option, the capacity and the use of a mask will be established according to current regulations when the course starts. Likewise, it will be possible to park in the center during the event.
