Vehicle 8x8 'Dragon'
- The nickname ‘Dragon’ evokes the military virtues of the former dragon units, a mixture of Infantry and Cavalry, predecessors of the current units. Graphically represented by its trademark.
- The Dragon is a step forward in the modernisation of the Army, as well as a significant improvement of the Army capacities. Protection, security and and power in combat of the receiving units are improved.
- In July2019, the Experimental Brigade (BRILEG) will receive five Dragon technological demonstrators.
- By 2021, 13 of the 348 expected units for the first stage of the programme will enter into service. The total amount of units is 998.
