The Joint Logistic Support Group which will take part in “Trident Juncture” fine-tuned the workings of its headquarters during an exercise led by the Logistic Brigade (BRILOG) at the High Readiness Forces Land Headquarters in Bétera (Valencia).
The exercise, which included team activities as well as videoconferences, was aimed at improving coordination among the members of the multinational headquarters and between them and the rest of commands.
Nearly 120 soldiers from 13 countries took part in the exercise, which was dubbed “Golden Lion”. The largest group was made up of Spanish soldiers, because the country hosts the tactical exercise which will test and improve the operational capability of the enhanced NATO Response Force.
Regarding logistics, the Army is contributing 1,000 members from BRILOG. For that reason, the unit has been involved in planning since early this year and over the last two months it has set up a team exclusively dedicated to the preparation of the Group.
