The Brigade (BRI) "Aragón" I presented, on January 18th in the former Palace of Captaincy of Zaragoza, the XVI edition of the Ebro Race, which will be held on February 25th in Zaragoza. The event was chaired by the head of the Brigade "Aragón" I, General García del Barrio, the general director of sport of the Government of Aragon, García Torres, and the councilor for sport of the City of Zaragoza, Brocate Puri.

This charity event will be organized by the BRI I, for the first time alone, and the proceeds will go entirely to Military Caritas to continue the support that is being given to Basi, a Malian boy who was transferred in 2022 to Zaragoza to receive treatment of the neurofibromatosis he suffers and remove the tumor that affects his face. Since then he has been hosted by the family of a member of the Brigade and Military Caritas who pays for the expenses generated by his stay.

The race will have, as usual, three different modalities and two routes: one for the "Trail" modality, of 25 kilometers, and a common one for the "Popular" and "Walk" modalities, of just over 13 kilometers.

In this sense, the start and finish will be on the slopes of the Aragonese Sports Center crossing the neighborhoods of Áctur and Juslibol, the steppe of the Training Center "San Gregorio" or the famous escarpments on the Ebro River. Specifically, the "Trail" modality will be able to satisfy the curiosity of the participants regarding what is behind the fence of the Zaragoza base "San Jorge" since part of its route will run inside the facilities of the Brigade "Aragón," including its historical collection of armored vehicles.

Registration is open on the page of the race itself: https://carreradelebro.org/.
