The Museum of the Army of Toledo has announced its cultural program for the month of February, during which it keeps open the exhibition "1898: the end of four centuries of Cuba and the Spanish Philippines," which can be visited free of charge until next April, from 10.00 to 17.00 hours, in the temporary exhibition hall of the Museum.

Likewise, in "Live Museum," it is possible to take a theatrical guided tour under the title "The Spanish Army in Cuba and the Philippines," which allows you to know the exhibition by the hand of a Spanish soldier from Cuba. This visit is also free and is aimed at the adult public, upon registration at the Museum ticket offices on the same day of the activity. It will be held on Saturday 3rd and 17th February, at 12.00 and 13.00 hours.

Also in relation to the loss of the Spanish colonies, Miguel Ángel López de la Asunción will give, on February 8th, the conference "The site of Baler. The defense of our last Flag overseas, "which will take place in the Auditorium of the Museum of the Army of Toledo, at 12.00 hours.

In addition, on the occasion of the "International Day of Women and Girls in Science," on February 10th, at 11.30 am, the Army Museum has organized a theatrical visit of the exhibition "1898: the end of four centuries of Cuba and the Spanish Philippines," in which taking as a starting point the figure of Ramón y Cajal, visibility will be given to the contribution of women to the advancement of science throughout History. Families with children over 8 years old can participate in this visit.

Also, families with children over 7 years old will also be able to enjoy the Army Museum on February 17th in a visit, which will take place at 12.00 and 13.00 hours, in which learning and training are assured.

On the other hand, and also thinking of the little ones, the Army Museum has prepared an adaptation of the famous children's story "El ratoncito Pérez (Pérez Mouse)" whose story has a close relationship with one of the protagonists of the Museum's rooms: King Alfonso XIII. Through the storyteller "A painter on the run," children and their families can learn about this story on February 4th, 11th and 18th in two sessions, at 12.00 and 13.00 hours.

Children will also be the protagonists of the puppet theater scheduled for February at the Army Museum, which this month will be about a sorcerer. "The spell of the sorcerer Arturo, who wanted to see his future" will be represented in the didactic classroom, on February 25th, in two sessions, at 12.00 and 13.00 hours.

On the other hand, and within the program of activities "A new Museum every month," the adult public will have the opportunity to discover the largest collection of the Army Museum: the miniatures, on February 24th, at 11.00 am. During this session, an expert will explain the collection and give a practical workshop on the manufacturing process of the pieces, in which the participants will also be offered to paint a miniature with his help.
