The Army Museum, situated in Toledo, will be the venue for a historical re-enactment of the 14th of July, in which the ‘The Camuñas Party’ Cultural Association and the ‘For the Resistance of Algodonales’ Historical-Military Association will dramatize the events which occurred in Camuñas (Toledo) during the Spanish War of Independence.

Among the events there will be the parade of a group made up of persons portraying soldiers from Napoleon’s Army, guerrillas and village inhabitants.  There will also be an informative talk on Uncle Camuñas, the leader of the uprising against the French.

In turn, and in commemoration of the second anniversary of the Museum’s opening, on 19th July, an Open Day will be held for visitors. Then those interested will be able to admire some jewels from the Duke of Medinaceli’s Family Armoury, the only Spanish armoury of noble character that has been conserved to date.  As well, the Museum has organised a game in which children and adults must obtain information about the collection by means of all types of clues.
