Participation of Intelligence Regiment No. 1 in Exercise JFX/MDO-25

Test Flight

The Air Systems Collection Group IV/1 (GROSA IV/1) of Intelligence Regiment No. 1 (RINT 1), located at “Conde de Gazola” Base in the municipality of San Andrés de Rabanedo (León), took part from 11 to 28 November in the LIVEX phase of Exercise JFX/MDO-25, conducted at Trebujena Airfield (Cádiz).

JFX/MDO-25 is a national Joint Force employment exercise designed to train and evaluate the operational structure of the Armed Forces in the planning and conduct of a high-intensity multidomain operation against an adversary with similar capabilities, within the framework of autonomous defense capability.

GROSA IV/1 is equipped with the PASI system (Autonomous Intelligence Sensor Platform), based on the Searcher MK III model, with which it flew over the sea for the first time. This unmanned aerial system is capable of flying at high altitude and remaining in the operational area for several hours. Together with its powerful cameras, it can provide a large amount of information in support of operations and ground units.

During the exercise, GROSA IV/1 carried out training missions with the Searcher MK III, aimed at training flight crews, improving collection procedures, and integrating GROSA IV/1 into higher-echelon Command Posts.

The operations included test and internal training flights, real-time image and video collection, and analysis of the information obtained, with the aim of increasing operational effectiveness, strengthening team cohesion, and consolidating IMINT —imagery intelligence— collection and exploitation capabilities in complex training scenarios.
