A Lieutenant in a course at the Norwegian Winter Warfare College.

From Jan. 4 to 27, lieutenant Caro —from Skiing-Climbing Company of the Mountain “Galicia” 64 Regiment (Jaca, Huesca, HQ)— has completed a course at the Norwegian Winter Warfare College.
 
The Allied Winter Warfare Course 2017 has taken place at the training range of Terningmoen (140 kms from Oslo). The main goal has been to share experiences and knowledge to work in extreme cold weather places.
 
For that purpose, the course has been divided into 2 phases: one; adaptation to the equipment for specific cold weather, skis movbility, shooting, navigation, running, avalanches’ rescue, traces concealment, two; tactical topic (squad level).
 
In this course, many of the knowledge already obtained in Mountain Units were put into practice which shows the excellent conditions and readiness of the Spanish Units in extreme cold environments.
