Three ceremonies of Oath or Promise before the Spanish Flag for civilian personnel took place on 9th June in Madrid, Cerro Muriano (Córdoba) and Ronda (Málaga). The first of these, held at Army Headquarters, was presided over by the chief of the Personnel Command, Lieutenant General Jesús Carlos Fernández Asensio.   Among the 327 participants were such well known figures as television presenter Ms. Laura Valenzuela. The formation was made up of King’s Immemorial 1st Infantry Regiment personnel.  To conclude, the unit’s Military Band offered a concert in the ‘Buenavista’ Palace gardens. 
 

In the Oath of Allegiance to the Flag ceremony held in ‘Cerro Muriano’ there were 177 people participating who wished to make their commitment to Spain public on the ‘Reina Sofia’ formation esplanade.  The ceremony was presided over by the commander of 10th Mechanised Infantry Brigade ‘Guzmán el Bueno’ and military commander of Córdoba and Jaén, General Teodoro Baños. The Flag used was that of 10th Mechanised infantry Regiment ‘Córdoba’. Participant age ranged from 18 to 82.
 

In Ronda in all there were 524 Spaniards who took the oath before the Spanish Flag, represented by the 4th Legion Regiment ‘Alejandro Farnesio’ Flag.  The ceremony was carried out within the scope of a military parade held on the Parade Ground of Base ‘General Gabeiras’. The formation was made up of personnel from10th Battalion ‘Millán Astray’ and Cavalry Reconnaissance Group ‘Reyes Católicos’. In charge of presiding over the ceremony was the Legion Brigade commander, General Juan Jesús Leza. As well, attending were the mayoress of Ronda, Ms. María de la Paz Fernández, and the deputy Government delegate to Málaga, Mr. Jorge Salvador Hernández.
