The Deputy Chief of the Army Staff Retires

The Deputy Chief of the Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ignacio Martín Villalaín, has resigned due to his request for retirement, after three and a half years at the post. His interim replacement is the chief of the Army Staff Planning Division, General   José Carrasco Gabaldón. The farewell has taken place today at ‘Buenavista’ Palace in Madrid, Army Headquarters, in the presence of the Chief of the Army Staff.
