COM NRDC-GR Headquarters visits the NRDC-Spain in Valencia.
Lieuatenant General Dimitrios Bikos, Commander of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Greece (Thessalonik), visited the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Spain in Bétera (Valencia) today.
General Bikos was welcomed by General Gan Pampols, Commander of the NRDC-ESP, at the Santo Domingo barracks in Valencia, yesterday, where he had the opportunity to visit the historic part of the Santo Domingo Convent.
Once in Bétera (Valencia), he visited the operations center and the planning room, where he was briefed about the context, organization, commitments and way ahead of the NRDC-ESP.
The party then moved to Marines Military base, where General Bikos had the opportunity to get first-hand knowledge of some units located in Valencia: the Lusitania 8 Cavalry Regiment, the 3rd Artillery Group III/73 (with Patriot missiles), the 21st Signal Regiment, the CBRN Regiment and the Military Police Battalion.
Finally, he returned to the NRDC-ESP where he met the components of Greek contingent. Six military men are currently serving at the NRDC-ESP, among them brigadier general Patsalos, currently DCOS OPS.
The NRDC-GR is a Headquarters similar to the NRDC-ESP, both are part of the NATO Force Structure.
