Introduction

The Army Helicopter Forces welcome you to their website, where you will learn about the work of the unit.

Our members are the youngest in the Army, but the unit itself has a long and intense history which spans almost fifty years.

The Army Helicopter Forces are under the command of a Brigadier General and are deployed as follows:

There are three more units linked to the Army Helicopter Forces, although organically they belong to other Commands:

  • 6th Manoeuvre Helicopter Battalion at La Laguna (Santa Cruz de Tenerife). Organically, it belongs to MACAN (Canary Islands Air Command).
  • Helicopter Training Centre. Organically, it belongs to MADOC (Training & Indoctrination Command).
  • Helicopter Depot & Maintenance Centre. Organically, it belongs to MALE (Army Logistic Support Command).
