The 4th Coastal Artillery Regiment, belonging to the Field Artillery Command, is endowed and trained to generate the capacity for defense and control of coasts at any point in Spain, or at any other place where international commitments require it.

The 4th Coastal Artillery Regiment deployed a Coastal Defense Unit in the Campo de Gibraltar between February 6 and 12. For this, sensors, artillery howitzers and transmission elements are located along the Strait of Gibraltar in order to maintain the level of training achieved. Among its tasks is the control of maritime traffic.

In addition, the Regiment will have the opportunity to enhance the interoperability and integration of the Coastal Artillery units with the Navy.
