Spanish Navy XXVII Amphibian Operations Course visits the HQ NRDC-ESP
The Spanish Navy Amphibian and Expeditionary Operations Course has visited the HQ NRDC-ESP. The visit took place on May 25, 2017. This event which is taking place over the last years represents a unique opportunity to share common experiences and strenghthen the ties with the Spanish Infantry Marine Corps.

Army General Francisco Javier Varela Farewell From HQ NRDC-ESP
Army General Francisco Javier Varela has relinquished command of NATO's HQ NRDC-ESP Bétera (Valencia), following a ceremony held at the Headquarters on Friday, 28 April. General Varela took over the position as Chief of Staff of the Spanish Army on Monday, 3 April, succeeding General Domínguez Buj.

Spain hands over the Very High Readines Joint Task Force (VJTF) command to United Kingdom.
After the leadership of that new force through 2016, Spain hands over the responsibility of the VJTF to United Kingdom for 2017 stand-by period. The ceremony was held in Gloucester, base of the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, on the eleventh of March.
