On September 20, 1970, TRH The Prince and Princess of Spain Juan Carlos of Bourbon and Sofía, arrived in Ceuta aboard the destroyer Roger de Lauria, on the occasion of the Delivery of the National Flag to the 2nd Spanish Legion

On the occasion of the visit to Ceuta of Minister for Housing Luis Rodríguez de Miguel in 1975, a military parade, presided over by the Minister and accompanied by General Gutiérrez Mellado, Commander-General of Ceuta, was held at the 1st Tetouan Regular Group Barracks.

The Spanish President of the Government, Adolfo Suárez, presided over the acts that, on the occasion of the 61st Anniversary of the Creation of the Legion, were held at the García Aldave Barracks. The President of the Government is accompanied by the Captain-General Merry Gordon of the Southern Military Region. 1981.

In an act of Legionnaire Saturday, held at the García Aldave Barracks, on March 27, 1993, the "Alba" Company, belonging to the 4th Flag of the 2nd Spanish Legion Tercio “Duque de Alba”—departing on a humanitarian mission to the area of the former Yugoslavia—was bid farewell. One of this company’s members, Lieutenant Muñoz Castellanos, was the first Spanish officer killed in that region.

An act held in the Plaza de África on May 2, 1993, on the occasion of the reception, by the Commandancy-General of Ceuta, of the remains of Lieutenant Jacinto Ruiz Mendoza. In the photograph, we see the moment in which the remains are transferred to the Monument of the Fallen. The acts were chaired by General Bada Requena, Commander-General of Ceuta, Mr. Fráiz Armada, Mayor of the City and Mr. González Márquez, the Government Delegate.
