On November 20, 1877, HM King Alphonse XII visited Ceuta. The Commander-General, Field Marshal Juan García Torres boarded the frigate Victoria anchored in the Bay of Ceuta to honor His Majesty The King.

On May 3, 1904, HM King Alphonse XIII arrived in the city of Ceuta on his first visit aboard the ship Giralda. The king was received by the Commander-General of Ceuta, Francisco Fernández Berna.
