Commander South-Eastern Europe Brigade visits the HQ NRDC-ESP
Brigadier General Tudorică Petrache (ROU Army), Commander South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG), has recently visited the HQ NRDC-ESP. The visit took place on 17th October.
SEEBRIG with its Headquarters currently located in Larissa, Greece, is an ‘‘On-Call’’ land force, composed of units from 6 different countries (Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, FYROM, Albania, Turkey), with a strength of about 4500 troops. Its mission is to promote regional security, stability and further enhance cooperation in the conduct of Peace Support, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Operations.
During the past Exercise Valiant Lynx 18, NRDC-ESP received two officers from SEEBRIG who acted as observers. During the briefings and discussions taking place it was agreed upon continuation of support in exercises from both sides. In the near future NRDC-ESP will participate in SEEBRIGs Seven Stars 18 Exercise whereas SEEBRIG will send participants to next year’s Valiant Jackal 19.
A tour through the HQ NRDC-ESP premises including the tactical Command Post and an exhibition on material and capabilities by the Spanish Military Police Battalion put an end to the visit.
This visit is a first step towards perpetuation in the mutual support between both Headquarters.
