Major General Fernando Garcia-Vaquero assigned as Chief of Staff NRDC-ESP Headquarters
On 08 May 2018, the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Spain hosted a take-over ceremony to mark the change of its Chief of Staff from major general Juan Montenegro to major general Fernando Garcia-Vaquero. The ceremony was held at the Betera Military Base (Valencia-Spain).
Major general Garcia-Vaquero formerly served at the HQ-NRDC as Deputy Chief of Staff Operations from January 2015 to January 2017, and later on as Deputy Chief of Staff Plans.
During his address to the staff, Major General Garcia-Vaquero outlined that the NRDC-ESP multinational staff must be cohesive and fluently and constantly coordinated; and he encouraged all personnel to promote individual preparation and readiness, team work and exchange of information.
