The NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Spain Headquarters held its annual plenary conference in Bétera.
The NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Spain (HQ NRDC-ESP) hosted its annual plenary conference at the Headquarters’ premises on July 5th 2018. National representatives from the eleven contributing nations to NRDC-ESP attended the conference, while Spain, as Host Nation, was represented by the Spanish Army Staff.
This plenary conference is considered one of the most important meetings that take place at the HQ NRDC-ESP to review the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the participating nations as well as to propose important changes for approval by the allied nations that make up the Headquarters.
The HQ NRDC-ESP is an organization at NATO disposal, therefore, all changes related to its mission, status, responsibilities, commitments, training or funding, must be submitted for approval of all its contributing nations at the Headquarters.
There are currently eleven allied nations represented in the HQ NRDC-ESP: France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States and Spain.
Commander of NRDC-ESP Lieutenant General Francisco José Gan Pampols welcomed all the participants to Valencia and thanked its attendance for this meeting.
