Carlos Herrera's speech
The Chief of Staff of the Army (JEME), General of the Army Amador Enseñat y Berea, presided over the appointment ceremony of businessman José Ramón Estévez Puerto and journalist Carlos Herrera Crusset as ambassadors of the Army Brand on March 12th in Madrid. The event took place at the Buenavista Palace, headquarters of the Army General Staff.
The ceremony was attended by various military authorities, including the Second Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Alejandro Escámez, as well as family members and friends of the new ambassadors of the Army Brand. They received from the Chief of Staff of the Army the certificate and insignia accrediting them in their new role.
During his speech, the Chief of Staff of the Army thanked Carlos Herrera and José Ramón Estévez for accepting their appointment. He highlighted their strong values and personal qualities, demonstrated throughout their successful professional careers, in which he affirmed they are both role models.
For his part, businessman José Ramón Estévez stated that it is an honor to receive this appointment and committed to helping spread and strengthen the principles and values of the Army. His goal is to enhance its image and bring citizens closer to “the great work carried out by our Army, thereby reinforcing coexistence, cohesion, and the commitment that all citizens have to Spain.”
In his speech, Carlos Herrera also expressed his immense honor in receiving this appointment and highlighted his strong connection to the Army through several generations of his family. In his words of gratitude, the journalist conveyed his affection, admiration, and deep respect for the members of the Armed Forces, emphasizing their loyalty and service to Spain. He also reaffirmed his affinity and commitment to the values they represent.
