The CBRN Regiment “Valencia” No. 1 tests its capabilities in Exercise "Toxic Valley" 25

Deployable Chemical Laboratory

The Deployable Chemical Laboratory (LQD) and the Sampling and Identification of Biological, Chemical and Radiological Agents Team (SIBCRA) of the CBRN Defense Regiment “Valencia” No. 1 took part, from September 15th to 19th, in the international exercise "Toxic Valley" 25, held at the CBRN Training and Testing Center in Zemianske Kostolany, Slovakia.

Considered a European benchmark in training with live chemical warfare agents, the exercise brought together international experts from NATO countries and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), as well as specialized police units.

The participation made it possible to strengthen training in detection, identification, sampling, reporting, and chain of custody, as well as to validate the effectiveness of the Armed Forces’ equipment in real missions.

In conclusion, Toxic Valley 25 has represented a key milestone in confirming the suitability and high level of the Spanish Army’s most specialized capabilities in the CBRN field.
