The Chief Brigade General of the 16th "Canarias" Brigade welcomes you and thanks you for visiting the unit's page on the Army website.

Thanks to this website, I am pleased to offer all those interested a way to learn about the youngest brigade in the Spanish Army. The page aims to provide up to date and as complete as possible information about the organisation, taks, missions and locations of the different Units within the Brigade.

he BRICAN XVI is a Great Unit made up of a set of combat, combat support and logistic units under one command, which is directly subordinated to the General Head of Command of the Canary Islands. Although most of the unit is deployed in the Canary Islands, its capabilities mean it can operate in other geographical areas, something which is demonstrated through the participation of its Units in international operations in Bosnia, Kosovo and Afghanistan.
