On April 7th, the Chief of Staff of the Spanish Army, Army General Amador Enseñat, along with the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Alejandro Escámez, welcomed the Defense Committees of the Congress of Deputies and the Senate at the Palace of Buenavista, headquarters of the Army General Headquarters. The delegations were led, respectively, by their Chairman, Alberto Fabra Part, and their Second Vice Chairman, Amaro Huelva Betanzos.

The parliamentary delegation was accompanied by other military authorities, including the Lieutenant General, Chief of Personnel Command, the General in charge of the Cyber Space Command and Technical Assistance Services, the General in charge of the Logistics Support Command, and the General in charge of the Legal Advisory Service.

During the reception, the Chief of Staff of the Spanish Army (JEME) presented to the attendees the briefing 'Army 2035: The Army Spain Needs,' in which he outlined the main missions of the Army, its organization and structure, the material and personnel assets available, the most important infrastructures, and the short- and medium-term objectives within the framework of this Army modernization project.

Among these objectives, the ongoing process of technological and digital transformation in which the Spanish Army is currently engaged stands out, with the aim of enhancing existing capabilities and acquiring new ones to fulfill the missions assigned to it.
