General Military Academy

  • COMBAT ARMS AND CIVIL GUARD OFFICERS (ENTRANCE WITHOUT DEGREE)

    The Bologne plan has been implemented from academic year 2010-2011 over five academic years, the first four being held at the Academia General Militar) (AGM, Zaragoza, Spain) and the fifth one, in the respective Branch Academies (Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery, Engineers and Signals) of predominantly of military nature.

    Simultaneously and during the first four courses of military training, graduate studies in Management Engineering is carried out at the University Center of the Defense - CUD, located at the AGM grounds.

    As for the Civil Guard, the curriculum envisages the first two years of training at the AGM. Once the students have passed, they join both the Civil Guard Academy located in Aranjuez (Madrid) and the University Center of the Civil Guard – CUGC, at which specific training will continue, synchronizing their studies with those of the degree in Security Engineering

    At the end of the 5th year, and once obtained the degrees in Management Engineering (Army) and Security Engineering (Civil Guard), the officer cadets are commissioned as Lieutenants in the passing-out ceremony.

    COMBAT ARMS OFFICERS (ENTRANCE WITH DEGREE)

    Implemented from academic year 2013-2014, the Bologne plan is developed throughout two school years, being the first at the AGM (Zaragoza) and finally, in the respective Branch Academies (Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery, Engineers and Signals). During both years, the training will be of predominantly military nature.

    To perform this curriculum, applicants have to possess one of the degrees included in the regulations of the selection processes. Currently it can only be done through internal promotion.

    At the end of the 2nd course, the officer cadets are commissioned as Lieutenants in the passing-out ceremony.

    QUARTERMASTER CORPS OFFICERS (ENTRANCE WITH DEGREE)

    Implemented from academic year 2013-2014, the plan is developed over one academic year at the AGM (Zaragoza), being of predominantly military nature.

    To perform this curriculum, applicants have to possess one of the degrees included in the regulations of the selection processes. It may be accessed through Direct Entrance and Internal Promotion.

    Upon course completion, the officer cadets are commissioned as Lieutenants in the passing-out ceremony.
