ATTRIBUTES

Enamelled Royal Crown, positioned at the top border of the shield, as the symbol of Spain and the expression of the mission that the Army is called upon to undertake in its defence.

BLAZON

In gules, a embattled castle, azure port and windows and masoned sable accompanied by two silver scallops. From the castle emerges a golden lion, crowned with the same, holding in its right claw a silver sword with gold trimmings and in the left a world of azure with the equator and the gold semi-meridian with a gold cross, a silver head with two barrulets, in azure.

THE SHIELD ELEMENTS

Torch and a 1893 Mauser rifle with bayonet, gold, accolades on the shield following the imaginary diagonals of the rectangle which it is inscribed upon, characteristic of logistic units.

EXPLANATION

The castle and the lion are taken from the crest of the kings of the former kingdom of Castille and Leon. The scallops symbolize the Path of St. James which ends in Galicia, the Headquarters of the FLO. The General symbolizes the seas which surround both the peninsula and the islands, the scope of all the FLO.
