The detailed practice of the coordination procedures between the manoeuvring units and the support units in urban environments has been the main training objective of the last edition of the "Interdit" exercise, carried out from the 3rd to the 11th of June at the "San Gregorio" Training Centre in Zaragoza.
In fact, the integration of the manoeuvring units has been one of the main innovations of this biannual exercise organized by the General Staff of the Engineers Command, which is the most important event in terms of development of capabilities against Improvised Explosive Devices (IED).
Along with Engineers units, which provide high specialized capabilitites, units of other specialities from all the commands of the Spanish Army, as well as from the Navy and other friendly allied countries, also participated, up to a total of 800 troops and 250 vehicles.
