A day of reunions and memories was experienced on 28th April on base "Ofra-Vistabella", in La Laguna (Santa Cruz de Tenerife), location of the 81st Logistic Support Group, which celebrated the twentieth anniversary of its reception of the Spanish Flag.It was the City Hall of San Cristóbal de la Laguna that presented the Flag to the Logistic Support Group, which for over two decades has been providing logistic support to all the units spread throughout the Canary archipelago, as well as participating in  missions abroad.

In fact, at present, part of its personnel are deployed in Afghanistan within the 28th Spanish force to operate in that Asian country.Upon the latter facet its current commander, Colonel De Gregorio, laid special emphasis in his address to those present, among whom were various civilian and military authorities of the city, including the commander of the 5th Army Deputy Inspection General, General Colás Campo, who presided over the ceremony.
