THE CHIEF OF THE ARMY STAFF VISITS THE 74TH ANTI-AIRCRAFT ARTILLERY REGIMENT IN SAN ROQUE

First institutional visit

The Chief of the Army Staff visits the 74th Anti-aircraft Artillery Regiment in San RoqueArmy General Fulgencio Coll Bucher, Chief of the Army Staff, has carried out, today, 16th February, his first visit to the I/74th HAWK-PATRIOT Anti-aircraft Artillery Group and the III/74th Repair Unit in San Roque. This activity is included within the programme undertaken periodically by the Chief of the Army Staff to the end of having greater personal contact with the day to day life of the various units.

Upon his arrival on the base, he has been received by Colonel Leopoldo Herrero Nivela, Commander of the 74th Anti-aircraft Artillery Regiment. Following the official honours, the Unit Commander offered a presentation on the Regiment’s current situation.    During a tour inside Base “Cortijo Buenavista”, the Chief of the Army Staff observed the undertaking of various instruction activities carried out by the I/74th Anti-aircraft Artillery group with its HAWK and PATRIOT materiel, as well as the maintenance tasks undertaken by the III/74th Repair Unit.

During this visit, the Chief of the Army Staff has highlighted the instruction and training level achieved by the Regiment which has converted it into a leading unit.  Finally, he stated that the daily work of the Unit members is the best guarantee of success in the fulfilment of the missions that it is assigned.

The visit concluded with the signing of the Unit’s Guest Book.
